unlock the rock
that lies within your team
Join Power of the Band as they take over the Creativity Room at Station F for a day of rock with Park Slope Rock School founder Jason Domnarski.
Most founders believe their problem is ideas, or talent, or not being “creative enough.” Jason Domnarski has spent 18 years building bands from strangers, and he’s learned that creativity isn’t the starting point- it’s what happens when a group knows how to play together.
In this creative workshop, participants will learn the band skills that turn a group into a band, regardless of musical talent. They’ll leave with their creative juices flowing and a way to build those skills into their own teams.
Arrive as a team and leave as a band.
Themes addressed:
Growth mindset, engaging with the creative process, constructive collaboration, leaderless systems, effective messaging
JASON DOMNARSKI BIO
American musician, entrepreneur and founder Jason Domnarski has built a career that blends creativity, entrepreneurship, community engagement and performance. In 2008, he founded the Park Slope Rock School (PSRS) in Brooklyn, NY. Built around a proprietary pedagogy of group learning through a rock band model, PSRS has been embraced by thousands of families, with locations now in Paris and Montreuil. As a musician, he has collaborated with Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Nicolas Godin (Air) and has released several albums of original music. Jason was recently profiled in LES INROCKS, where he spoke about his rock band pedagogy and the PSRS mission.
Building on the success of PSRS, Jason launched Power of the Band in 2018, bringing the same rock band learning model to corporate teams and executive education programs. He has designed and hosted creative rock events for Fortune 500 companies and French luxury brands alike.
He currently enjoys watching PSRS alumni GEESE become one of the biggest rock band in the world.
